YourTerm MED addresses diastatic variation of medical terminology, as this is key area in order to better assist communication about diagnosis between experts and non-expert users. Relevant medical concepts include diseases such as the following:

chicken pox

acute contagious disease especially of children marked by low-grade fever and formation of vesicles and caused by a herpesvirus (species Human herpesvirus 3 of the genus Varicellovirus)


vector-borne disease due to the Chikungunya virus which is transmitted to humans by infected mosquitoes


parasitic infection transmitted by infected mosquitos, mainly anopheles, and characterised by cycles of fever, chills, sweating, anaemia, large spleen and relapses
