terminology projects and collaborations
Consult the concepts and terms of the ongoing project and connect with the partners in the project
The Terminology Coordination Unit of the European Parliament manages the terminology project dedicated to women’s rights in partnership with universities and related international organisations. The number of partners can only grow with time.
You can consult here the projects carried out by universities and by individuals.
Project workflow and partnership
The project workflow consists of the following steps:
- Terminology extraction from specialized corpora in a source language
- Researches on the equivalents in different target languages, completion of term tables, and analysis of ontologies and conceptual relations
- Revision of the equivalents by experts from EU agencies, UN or other international organisations
- Publication of the term tables in Yourterm.org and IATE by EP terminologists
The goal of the project YourTerm FEM is to build a multilingual terminological database related to women’s rights in order to enable citizens, humanitarian workers, legal sector workers, and policymakers from all over the world to communicate in clear language.
As contribution of the European Parliament, users are welcomed to visit the Resource Centre for YourTerm FEM and use helpful terminology resources on women’s rights.
